Just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for the opportunity of completing this course. It was very beneficial, and I found it very interesting to see the improvement between my first and then subsequent assessments. I also want to say too how easy the programme was to operate – the writers of the software etc have done a great job.

I certainly gained a lot of confidence because now I know for instance, how convenient the shortcuts are and how all those buttons in the toolbars work and, how using the Help button really helps. I know for sure that what I learned in my lessons will help me with the business I want to establish in New Zealand.

I have just completed the course and have passed all the subjects. I want to tell you how thrilled I am that I was able to have the chance to do this course. I left school at fifteen and a half and have never done computer work before. I am so proud of myself for what I have achieved.

Using the online courses have reduce my workload... ...I find my new role as a facilitator and mentor has helped support my students who I can say are 100% focused most lessons. On-line learning is a great idea for adult students who have to try and fit learning around jobs and family, and especially so where travel to a centre may involve distances up to 25km. However, having said that all my students have said they need the one to one instruction I can give on the phone.

We have received phone feed back form some students who have gained the sort of employment they felt they would never have achieved without the knowledge gained from the courseware. Other students have felt they are contributing more to their tasks at work, as they have speed up their work load due to the use of shortcuts, and also have been able to more comprehensively use their existing software more skilfully.

The confidence boost from the courses has inspired him to more study and he has enrolled into a full-time course and hopes to find a career in IT.

An employee had been given a project in Microsoft Access and was finding it very difficult to achieve the outcomes set for him. I enrolled him and he immediately went to work on Access and I saw him a week later and he was rapt, the Access module had given him a fuller understanding of the application and he was able to finish his project meeting all the outcomes expected by his employer. The employer was pleased because they had been able to utilise an existing staff member to improve their business without needing to pay for external consultants to do the same job. The staff member was stoked because they had impressed the boss and had increased their own personal knowledge and value to the company.

It provides students with an internationally recognised first step for a pathway in computing and is an ideal certification for anyone wanting to demonstrate critical computer and Internet skills valued in today's academic and professional environments.
